The City Day of Orel

The city of Orel is the city of the first salute. The celebration of the City Day is held on August, 5, in memory of the liberation of the city from the Nazi troops in August 1943.

Traditionally at that day in the city solemn rallys, celebrations of the city streets, concert programmes, recollection of older times in the city history take place as well as performance on  Alexander bridge with miniature shows and photos for memory, concerts in the city park of culture and recreation, evening celebration concert at Lenin Square, fireworks.
